[Fixed for V0.44] entrance sound to dungeon

Post by rob3034 »

he he, the 'entrance' sound when you start the game on RTC is the same as opening any other door....

but on ST DM the 'entrance' sound is a *deep* sounding door opening.

:D not that it matters.... just a difference. :o

Really? Didn't know that!

If you (read, "anyone"), can rip out the raw data file and send it to me, it's easy to fix.

Yep, that melody is from the Album music composed for the Jap versions.

RTC allows you to add music to the front door now anyway, so it's easy to tweak a version for yourself.

here is an analogue version of that sound:

the quality is REALLY bad (I recorded it via soundcard from a running STEEM engine) - but one can get an impression of the sound...

Grab the Album MP3s from Christophe's site:
http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/639

The track you want is track 1: Into the Dark

Doh, sorry, I wasn't paying attention.

It's door sound is just the same sound as other doors played more slowly so it sounds deeper.

But as you can hear in my egsample-sample ( ) the sound is repeated quicker and quicker - just like:

Code: Select all

x----x----x---x---x--x--x-x-xxx
