[Not a bug] wall text

Post by rob3034 »

just a minor thing ive noticed with wall text on RTC compared with ST DM.

wall text on RTC is sometimes obscured by the 'lines' where the bricks join each other and sometimes isnt clear.

on ST DM where text is on the wall, the bricks are made bigger to stop this happening.

ive captured 2 images in identical places to show you what i mean, however i dont know how to post them on this forum, so george i can email them to you if you like?

You have to upload them somewhere (i.e. on your webspace) and have to select the Img Tag in the Editor. Then copy the URL to the images there.

Yep, the original game used a little patch image by copying another aprt of the wall to blank out the lines before drawing the text but RTC doesn't respect that.

I'd argue that this should remain the case though. RTC offers so much more customisation of wall images that it doesn't make sense to hard code this effect. If it's really needed, the designer should make the patch themselves and add it as an extra wallitem.

Yep - RTC is more flexible than the original game so shouldn't automatically have that extra bit of blank wall added. As Gambit says, you can add it in easily enough by hand if required for a particular bit of text.
