[Not a bug] objects on the fence

Post by Adamo »

While playing one of custom dungeons on RTC I found that objects thrown to the fence stops ON the fence (wchich doesn`t look good), not BEFORE, as it supposed to be. It`s visible on the picture.
I don`t know if it`s a bug (?), but it seems so.

well, if you have a close look at the fence, you see that it is a costum one.
it was a pain to put it right at the place where i wanted it. (thanks linflas it would be more easy now.
and because I had the focus on the optic, there seems to bee a fault on the function.
If I find a bit time, I will do it better.

This is a limitation of ALL the DM style engines (except bloodwych). They work on the assumption that blockages (such as a fountain or fence) sit in the middle of the tile.

For this fence to work, you would need to make it smaller and place it higher and further back so that there is some free floor space in front of it on the central tile. Thrown objects will then correctly land in front.

that was what I realized when I was ready with it. And after all that work I was too lazy, to redisign everything.

but some day-- maybe...

How about putting invisible wall on tile with fence?
Please forgive poor English.

Yes, that should work as well. The objects will drop right in front, on the tile the party isstanding on.
