...I now appear to be abusing the hyphenation rule...but it makes me feel....free...!!

Yes, Boss! Sorry, Boss! :-) Won't happen again... unless it's a legitimate emergency hyphenation situation.

Indeed, when that emergency hyphenation light starts flashing red, we are all expected to do our duty! :D

I thinks it's ebeneezer's humbug light that's flickering again. Keep misbehaving ebby-boy and I will turn you into a Christmas-less miserly humbug. :P

No loose cannons. Anymore unauthorised hyphenation and you will have to hand over your badge, hyphen-keys and your gun (if you have a gun. You probably don't have a gun).

I took steps. I made some calls. I had both of the offending keys killed. They will bother us no more

They got hyphen-ated

Lol, when you become the new Trantor we threaten to ban all the time when other people make mistakes, it won't be for the double posting or the hyphenation, it will always be for that joke! :p

I-agree-with-beowuuf-this-sort-of-thing-can-get-way-out-of-hand.

As you can see from the above hyphen-sentance :P :P :P :P

There should be a rule about "filler" words.. like :
it, and, by, so, a, the, etc.. No one seems to want to use them, as it sacrifices their "turn" at using interesting words :P

interesting idea, we could try making those words "free" for next year's story, or make it a 2-word story so these words might be a little more attractive.

I'm thinking to wrap this story up by midnight of new year's day pacific time. At that time, I may have to post more then 1 word to bring the story to close it off if it's not at a point where it can be closed of and make even silly sense. :P If this is necessary, it will keep the number of words to close the story off to a minimum, but hopefully on the last day we can bring it to a close together before the cut-off time. :D

I used to write an epilogue post to finish the story, though it could be as large as the story.

If you want to do that I'm all for it. I'll just post when I'm ready to close the story off, so I'll just finish off any sentence that's in progress and leave it to you to post an epilogue, if you want to do that. Otherwise I'll be happy to write an epilogue.

I'll probably be closing it off sometime after midnight on New Year's Eve (Pacific Time), as I'll be attending fireworks right at midnight, and probably will have company over for a while after that too.
