Dungeon Master Keys (scratch build)

Post by peppepeo »

Hallo everybody,
I made this work as a gift for my brother.
There are all the keys present in the DM game in a 1:1 scale.
I hope you like it.

Wow, that's very cool, a brilliant idea, you've got a lucky brother! :D What are the keys made of?
Finally playing and immensely enjoying the awesome Thimbleweed Park-a-reno!

Thanks Jan.
Here is the steel rings I used for the "O" shaped keys.

The other keys are scrached from plastic and 2 part resin.

All the keys have the rod from an alluminium tube.

This is a WIP of the Iron Key.

And, at last, the front of the wooden box.

What a fun project.. I've debated revisiting my plan to do some DM related sculpture to give to the clone makers as thanks for their contributions.. however my first run at it lead to heads popping off and the sculpture being partly shattered.. so I need to figure out a way to keep it secure for transport before making yet another.. This is a great example of something sturdy.. Great job!

Thank you guys!
Yes, my brother liked my work because... he's crazier than me :-D
I think building the doors would have a big storage problem but the locks could be my next effort.
I'd like to build the Firestaff (with lights when corbamite is in) but I can't find any inspiration images.
Can you help me?

I think you can do that, you can buy the led lights cheap enough, you can make a staff easily, any rock for corbamite. Good luck, I'm interested in seeing the results.
