Useful development tools

Post by Bit »

I just found that one http://winmerge.org/?lang=en and thought it could be helpful to start a thread where we can add useful stuff to develop tools.
This program can be used to compare source-version differences.
Sometimes you think you got a satisfying point to stand on and keep a version. Later you find a new bug you made and you have no idea since when it's in - and if you should fix it even in older 'milestone'-versions. That tool can probably help to keep track.
I always used 'diff' from the GNU-pack, but this one can handle the two files much better, because 'diff' just creates an output file to analyze.

StrokeIt Go on, be brave and see what it is :)
THE most useful meta-tool I have is called ClipX. I nearly always CTRL-SHIFT-V these days. No really, do some dev work and try it.

I missed this thread. That ClipX looks very handy, Ian. Thanks :-)

and apropos textures -
if someone needs them, I collected a lot of textures when I was busy with Povray-things. Would have to dig them out ofc.
