Re: Cool stuff you've found on the web
Here's a trailer for a TV miniseries I would've like to have seen when it first aired: Quest for the Sea.
I saw all the earlier series by the same producers but missed that one.
Their other productions started with Pioneer Quest: A Year In the Real West, followed by Quest for the Bay, and finally Klondike: Quest for Gold
I'd almost forgotten about these gems in recreating history, until I stumbled across the Quest for the Sea trailer. For anyone who hasn't seen these series, I'd definitely recommend them.

Woooo, very cool: Lightning filmed at 7207 frames a second!
I love how you can see the stroke actually branching out in slow-mo. Awesome stuff

£49,000 to spare? Why not buy the first 10 original impressions of "The Hobbit"?

The Hobbit.
Beleive me or not, I love heroic fantasy, however "Bolbit the hobo" books and movies are boring me to the death.

I agree with bit's post above. I hadn't heard much Billy Joel before that but from watching that video, thanks gambit for posting that.Gambit37 wrote:Wow, I love stuff life this: Student asks to play piano for Billy Joel, who agrees and sings along:

Nowadays, most of PC makers aim to put everything in screen, but why not mixing motherboard and keyboard instead ?

That design was cool back in the day but not sure why you'd want it in a modern machine. My desk space is valuable!

Having owned three or four of the Atari ST computers, I liked the look of it.linflas wrote:Nowadays, most of PC makers aim to put everything in screen, but why not mixing motherboard and keyboard instead ?

Still, it looks like it's very limited at the very start, given the size of power supply suggested.

Hmmm, well this is as good a reason as any to self-publish your game and eschew those App stores:

I can't condone their behaviour, it was foolish and self-entitled, but man: I got a frisson of excitement seeing those views. And despite the pyramids eroding at an alarming rate, they are one of the few man-made structures that may still be here in 10,000 years which probably isn't the same you can say about humans at the rate we're going...

Indeed, there's something exciting about having captured that.

An amazing accomplishment (the building of the pyramids). The pictures did the same for me, Beo.beowuuf wrote:Indeed, there's something exciting about having captured that.

Hey guys, did to know if you type 'do a barrel roll' in Google search the screen actually does a barrel roll? And if you type 'zerg rush' then your screen gets rushed by zerg-like google 'o's that destroy all your search results? Pretty wild!
