Could go either way. Personally, it's mildly amusing.

It's satire. And I appreciate satire.

The sad thing is, we probably all know people who are actually like that, more or less.

It got a good chuckle out of me the first time I saw it, because it's SO over the top. I've looked at it a few times and it isn't quite as funny as it started, but ... what can I say. It's no Jonathan Swift, but I think it's clever and entertaining enough.

I wouldn't call it a "joke" but a satire, is all. The point isn't to make you fall out of your chair laughing. I think.

I am never quite sure if your replies are meant as replies to the previous message or just a general musing.

I took that as a comment on my comment, which suggested you thought I hadn't understood it. Now I see it was simply a statement. Intriguing how we read things differently...

Correct, "satire" fits better than "joke". I used "joke" just to point out that this wasn't for real, since some people apparently think it is serious (see "your letters").

Oh, that could explain why my statements confuse people - I'm sorry. I tend to just ramble about something at least vaguely connected to the topic on hand, but perhaps I should be clearer when I'm responding to a specific comment. I tend to assume people will understand based on context, which always makes sense in my head, but the problem is that my head knows exactly what I'm thinking, whereas none of you do (I think I'm a little far away even for telepathy to reach me), and that tends to complicate things.

I'm also bad at staying on topic. Yes, I am like this in real life too... oops.

I knew he was going to have something to say about that.

*goes off in a corner, quietly weeping*
