Congratulations to Cowsmonaut and Sandie
I just wanted to take a moment to send big congratulations to Adam (Cows) and his new wife Sandie on making that special commitment to each other.
I don't know how many of you were aware that our illustrious founder recently 'tied the knot', so let's all join together in wishing Sandie and him a wonderful future together!
Congrats to both, well done, hope you had a great day!
Now, if you haven't already, you need to get DM welcomed into your new shared life...

wow, well.. I guess the secret is out I was just starting to tell others and I had not gotten to here yet. It was all rather sudden and I myself only had about 4 days to put together the wedding.
That combined with work I think has left me a bit ill and I've been getting bouts of dizziness so I've not been keeping up with everyone. A few people are a bit pissed at both of us for not having been notified yet.. family members and friends alike.
edit( as I was saying, I just got message now from someone else pissed off)
So, it's not all been well wishers. So, a note to anyone planning to get married, make sure everyone has advance notice.
Anyway, it's been both good and bad.. so we're thankful for the well wishers.
thanks

Yes, Sandie posted them. I don't know until I got home.. and as I said, I've been ill the past couple of days so getting down to doing more than a quick blurb on facebook has not been a top priority to me. The claim of one individual is that she is pissed because I didn't tell her directly and has now decided to make my life a living hell by going back on a contract I co-signed which will likley cost me a lot of money I don't have.
So the idea of "let them be damned" doesn't work in this case.
You're right though, it is supposed to be a a happy time. I am to some degree.. I just wish it had not been so rushed and that I had the time to work out all the kinks in advance instead of running clean up after the fact.. and being sick and having the most harrowing time of the year to do it all (final projects for the students means they need a LOT of help) and having a course I'm taking too.. just means that the rest of me is about ready to explode.
It's also been topped with the fact that I can not afford to go to france with Sandie for the holidays, so she'll be in france for a few weeks and I'll be stuck back here. So be it. I'll have time to work on some artwork
I'll have skype up and going too so at least there is that. perhaps I can con a few of you into chatting one day since I can't see you lot in person.. here's hoping I win the lottery and I can come back out to london later next year

Too bad there is so much trouble in a time that should be so happy for you.
As for London, I'm all for it, we need another community meeting anyway!
Be careful with mentioning Skype, though, I once scared the whole chatroom away with that... I would like a chat with you, though, if you don't mind my funny German accent.

My of the folks around me speak some French. I somehow forgot, or didn't realize, that you were in Canada. I lived in Rutland, Vermont for a bit. That wasn't far from the Canadian border. You're probably west of there though.cowsmanaut wrote:I know more than enough people with funny accents.. so it's not a problem. I do live in Canada after all... and my wife is french. Sorry about the co-sign situation. Accents?? Woah boy, do people tend to notice MY accent. I don't sound like anyone that I know. One guy did mention that I sound like Randy Travis (I don't think he meant Randy Trantor).
Hey, too much whining??? Sick your WIFE on them.
(Oops. She may slap ME for leaving such a wierd emoticon after that suggestion. )
Please girl. Don'tcha be puttin' the hurt on MasterWuuf. He's a friend.

heh, well, I know of 4 people with heavy german accents, probably about 30 with heavy french accents, 3 people with heavy russian accents, 16 or so with heavy asian accents(korean, japanese, and chinese), 1 with a heavy indian accent, and I'm sure a mix of many others that I can't recall off the top of my head.. let us not forget the few with heavy scottish or british accents.. because yes they are accents to a canadian
