You've probably heard by now that Ray Harryhausen has passed away, age 92:

Ahh, no I hadn't heard that. He did some cool stuff - I remember watching films like Jason and the Argonauts when I was a kid, all the cool stop-motion stuff.

Sad news, he was the father of special effects, stop-motion and so on. Ahhh.. Clash of the Titans, 1981... :roll:

Well del Toro did do tribute to Ray (as well as Honda) in the much-maligned (for some reason) Pacific Rim. GB
