That's a good read indeed, thanks for the link.

Haha,,,, That last one made me laugh too. Made me wonder if the player hated it generally or was just plain stuck. I suspect the latter. Good stuff.

I think it'll only come later - part 1 is 2 days old so perhaps it's only in the making.

Very nice find!

"FTL themselves released the ultimate Dungeon Master lifestyle accessory, a CD — Dungeon Master: The Album — containing tunes inspired by the game, with tracks bearing titles like “Hall of Champions,” “The Adventure Begins,” and “Riddle Room.”

I didn't know that, but here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0BfMeUTNWo

Wow, good find! I had absolutely no idea something like that existed!

The first song ("Into The Dark") has a special place in my memory though (being played at the entrance door in the DM PC version). I remember listening to it over and over again when I was a kid, and I still find it incredibly atmospheric, melancholic, sort of dreamy, romantic - maybe not exactly a fit to the fast and brutal DM action, but somehow bringing you to some old, lost, ancient place... Boy, it is perhaps my most favourite piece of game music. The FTL guys even made it sound great on the PC Squeaker!

Part 2 hasn't been written yet. I'll keep an eye out for its publication.

I thought all DM fans knew about the Album! Surprised to hear that some of you didn't.

The Album has been available on the Encyclopaedia for years: http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/639
along with many other things, including two other Audio CDs (from Japan). Have a look here: http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=taxonomy/term/85%2B86%2B55

Well I missed that one! And I have never played the PC version so I had not even heard the songs. Some good background music for my next play through perhaps.

Part one was a great read. When they were referring to Crystal Dragon, there was game game released under that title, was that the same game or was it just coincidence?

I found it also funny they were chemists, something I can relate to.

Time to read part 2.

Cool, nice to see someone still happily praising all of DM's attributes to the world, even after so many years :D.

Just found this - thanks for posting! loved reading this!
The stonework walls? Pristine. The floor? Level. The waterworks? Flowing. Central heating? The Dragon in the basement was grumpily heating the pipes. Lord Chaos consulted the blueprints again, looking for the bathroom. #playmygame!

Another DM story
Has anyone seen Clodios's novel, it's up to chapter 21 I believe. It's exciting. It predates the original story, tells about the characters and their relationships, the landscape, how magic was discovered. It's an adventure.
