Hmm, 3pm my time. If I remember (and if I'm not busy) I might pop along :).

I've realised that I worked out the time difference wrong - I counted the wrong way so your stream actually starts at 1am for me. Which means I'll be in bed at that time :(.

Watching it now, sorry I missed it. You just added Halk. The fighters are the best to have in a party, magic is secondary.

I wouldn't say so in the later game - by the time most of the mobs you meet are chucking spells at you, you don't want to have to tromp all the way up to them in order to hurt them back.

lol, magic is not that great unless the monster has high armor class, an axe usually does the job nicely, run right up to their face, strafe then spin, wait for the unsuspecting monster to make its move, then chop mmm to pieces. Drink a few strength potions for good measure. Ranger style mixed with Paladin.

Enjoyed watching it Mike, watched it all, you need to finish it, it gets more challenging, just chop them to pieces, avoid being cornered

I was thinking more in the case of things like Beholders in a narrow corridor. Sometimes you just don't have the room to manoeuvre and anyway, it's always easier to zap something from a distance and save running up to it (especially if it's trying to shoot you at the same time ;)). The step-dance is brilliant if you can manage it, but sometimes you just don't have the space and then you need some other tactics. A couple of Mon-level Fireballs take out a Scorpion pretty easily, from what I remember ;).

Even if they attack with fireballs as long as there is room to move they don't stand a chance against a fighter, but if there is no room to move the fireballs can be preferred for SPEED, problem is fireballs also kill the party more often than the player would like. I'll chose a fighters path any day

Well, if it's 8PM EST (0100 Zulu) then it's two hours after midnight here which is not good. I'll watch the video later anyway.

Hmmm... the videos are interesting and everything but you're playing very slowly so the videos are unbearably long. Part 2 only ends at the beginning of the worm level and if you continue at that pace the whole thing will certainly exceed 10 hours. I don't want to step in or lecture you or anything but have you considered playing more swiftly so that you don't distract some potential viewers by the length of the whole thing?

Anyway, keep going and good luck there! :D

I'll watch it today Mike, the axe is your best friend, attack, don't run and hide, believe in your speed, swing, strafe, turn head, swing, strafe, turn head, don't get cornered, and don't be afraid of Chaos when you get there, flux cage, swing, strafe, turn, fluxcage, then find, follow, swing, turn fluxcage, he's easy to kill. My first time playing took me a long time to kill him because the fighter skill was not used. Go get em Mike.

It's a close one, if I'm back from my mums in time, usually around 9pm. Keep watch of your email, never done this before and will probably need to be shown. Hope to see you then.

Well it's 8am for me so I don't imagine I'll be up just yet - if I don't have to get up for work I normally get up around 10am :D.

Edit - No wait, I counted the wrong way again - you're five hours behind me, so 1pm for you is 6pm for me! I shall have to remember to come along!
