Hello, there... I'm starting a Walktrough of Dungeon Master for Amiga on Youtube (It is played on WinUAE, tho) where I share my gameplay style and everything I know about that marvellous game with anybody wishing to watch it.
It is in Italian, so be warned ;-)

Enjoy!

Same. I know very little Italian, but fortunately DM transcends language. Watched.

Thank you, that's very wellcome! :)

What I can say is that as the game will progress, I'll have to "explain" less mechanics (I'm doing this walktrough in order to be understandable by people who does not know either the game or the whole genere) and it will be more and more fluent (less "talking much without apparently doing nothing" ). I've already recorded the next three episodes ('till half of the pink worms level) and I will upload them as soon as the post processing is done.

Episode 2, "Down into the Dungeon" is online.

In the first part it is still much a tutorial, but it's already becoming more fluent and "action packed"
The video stops at the first half of the first level.

Have fun!

Here we finish the first level, gameplay becomes more fluent as the "tutorial mode" wears off

Have fun!

I'm back for good! Episode 4 and 5 are out, showing the second level.
Starting from episode 5, stats and info about items, weapons and armors will be put on screen in addition to runes meaning you already are used to.

Episode 4 "Choose your door, choose your fate"

Episode 5 "Rock Monsters"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU4fYVh ... X-5YOXZotO

Enjoy!

Episode 6 is online, and because it's Halloween, the title is "Ghost 'n' Worms"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2si5JIOjQo

In this video i finish to explore the second level and then descend into the third, exploring half of it.
There is one thing I'm not liking about this episode: while recording I had a map lying near the keyboard and sometimes I look at it to be sure not to forget any secrets. I tought this to be a good idea, but then rewatching the video i felt it to take away that spontaneous feeling I'm willing to transmit.
So this will be the only episode where I'm doing this.

Enjoy!

Episode 7 is out

"Let him suffer" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kt-HkXobmNg
here, as you can guess from the title, we explore the second half of the third level, up to the downstairs that bring to the fourth.

Enjoy!

Episode 8 is online! I'm proceeding at a slow pacing, video postprocessing is lots of fun, but time consuming.

Here it is
EP08: VI Altar of rebirth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdcM-LQ6QDY

As you can guess from the title my party encounters death during it's voyage (Yes, the Dungeon is indeed a dangerous and perillious place to explore), and some good quantity of backtracking is required. This gives me the opportunity to test another bunch of functions of the editor I use, in order to speed up the redundant parts.

Enjoy!

Episode 9 is online and continues the exploration of the 4th level.
The main theme is Pioson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62VSE7ci8Rk

PS: thanx to the Encyclopaedia and to this very forum, I'm giving more and more informations about the game and it's mechanics every episode.
So a big "thank you!" and a (virtual) pint of beer to whom helped and will help me with my questions and doubts...

Enjoy!

Time has passed since my last post in this thread and since then three episodes has ben published, here you are:

EP10: Guru Meditation - Real world can be a threatening place for HDD stored files as the Dungeon is for our Champions. In this video I share my pain for the loss, the recording of this very episode has been swallowed without repair by an inopportune CTRL+Z on the newly created folder where I put the file itself. "R.I.P. start of the 5th level..."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fVyFZL ... O&index=10

EP11: Behold! - This episode takes us through the 5th level from the first golden door up to it's completion.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHpViLW ... O&index=11

EP12: Tomb of the Firestaff - Our journey conducted us in the heart of the sacred mountain, where lies the goal of our quest. But the venture is not over yet...

Enjoy!

Episode 13 of the Dungeon Master walktrough is online!
This time we explore the whole of the 7th level and venture through the 8th, whose labirintic corridors and hallways challenge badly my orienteering skills (and my tireness).

Enjoy!

After a long wait, here it is episode 14! This time I'm back for good with a couple of news: a better looking canvas for my facecam and old fashioned/realtime hand mapping with Paper-Pencil and rubber.
While I'm really excited for both, the latter manages to slow down both gameplay and speech, so I'm thinking of some alterations to bring back fluidity.

Meanwhile, enjoy!

Episode 15 Brings down to the 9th level of the Dungeon cursed by Lord Chaos, ready to face new dangers and solve new puzzles...
I decided to keep until episode 16 the same mapping style adopted during last episode: map is drawn step by step while we explore the dungeon. And while this is true to my own way of playing a dungeon crawler, I understand that i can be slow, too slow to watch. So, from episode 17 I'll adopt another style, trying to be more dynamic.
Meanwhile, enjoy!

During Episode 16 continues the exploration of the 9th level of the Dungeon. And yet again Lord Chaos reminds us, in the most simple of the ways, how much is important to keep an eye for little details (And he warned us, at the beginnning)

I think I found the right balance between faster/fluid exploration and hand mapping, within this episode.
We still are into level 9, but Lord Chaos' monsters are getting stronger to defeat and levels more complex to explore.

Enjoy!

As the title of this episode suggests, our Champions, at last, find their way to the end of Level 9, killing the last remaining Scorpion.
Sounds easy, but in fact isn't, as the episode shows: this level is full of dangers and secrets...

Hope you enjoy watching!

"In a Dungeon like the one corrupted by Lord Chaos the most dangerous foes are not only the lethal creatures that live within, neither are the deadly traps that await in it's dark corridors. No.
An equally powerful enemy is the arrogance of the Dungeoneer who, overstimating himself, enters umprepared into a new level"

One of the things I love about the Dungeon Crawler genere is the Hunger/Thirst mechanic: it looms on you and makes you keep attention on your resources, pushes you not wasting time and makes you feel joyful like a child at Christmas when instead of a new powerful weapon you find a chest full of food or a fountain sprouting from the wall.
In this respect, Lord Chaos has been very nasty: as you proceed towards the bottom of the dungeon food and water resources became scarcer.

Enjoy Episode 20 of the Dungeon Master walktrough: Thirst!

Episde 21 is out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSl9UUE ... O&index=21.
It's a backtracking: party goes back to level 8 in order to refill skins with water and chests with food.
In doing this they also stop to level 10 and collect the Hardcleave (forgot it) and climb back to level 5 to retrieve one of the Vorpal Blades (Completely forgot that section of the dungeon!)... both weapons will prove to be very useful ;)

Enjoy!

Replenished thanx to the backtracking, our champions manage, with Theron's lead, to descend into Level 11, where they face new, deadly, threats.

One thing I can say,

I love Dungeon Master!

Many times I run DM from the start, and just walk through a couple of levels, just to keep that feeling inside me!

Thank you for the walkthrough!

It is with a great emotion thtat I write this post:
the last episode of this walktrough is out today: https://youtu.be/Pt5vTMTHUto

It has been a long journey, for both the party of champions and me, I really hope you enjoyed it!

I'm now embarking in recording another Dungeon Crawler's walktrough, a modern era one this time. After that I will come back to FTL creations and challenge Chaos Strikes Back.

If you are interested I'll continue posting my videos on this forum

For now, thanx a lot and see you soon :)
