Best places to camp

Post by Sophia »

So, I've got two treasure chests full of food and keys, twice as many weapons as I need, and a whole bunch of ful bombs. A pretty well equipped team, but my twosome is having to constantly drink Ku potions just to carry their stuff!

Where do you guys think is the most convenient to build your "camp"?
The start room? The junction of the ways? The little vending area off the side of the DDD? Somewhere I haven't thought of?

The junction of the ways is always my preference. Especially with the quick jumps available from the bottom dragon level. And the way back through the starting area if you lock pick the keyhole on...ROS? I forget where the quick fountain is, but I'm sure there is one close...

I also like the junction because of the deceptive amount of space to stretch out in to sort out items. You have the four false walls as well as the main square, but since each false wall can be re-opened by replacing the item in the VI altar, you actually have the full two square cross to play around with.

Yeah, I use the Junction as well, if I need somewhere to dump any stuff. The amount of times you end up going back there, combined with the number of ways to actually get there, make it a pretty convenient place to use as a stash.

I alway use the room just below the "Supplies for the
Quick". Lots of room. Water. And essentially the
same as the junction as far as accessibility is concerned.
Easy to move between the two places.

That is where the "Alternate Goal" of CSBWin forces
you to place all your items.

Same as Paul. I never camp at the junction because some nasty worm/scorpion can sometimes bother me.

Is that an RTC issue?

I can possibly only tell you where not to store stuff. ;) Personally, back then I stored my stuff at the stairways of DDD.

You obviously play the game differently. I go to the
DDD stairway only once during the entire game. (I dislike
that place.)

Worms and scorpions aren't allowed on that level in FTL CSB, so it'd have to be.
If you leave the doors in Dain open, though, an oitu can wander into the junction.

Ah, I think whenever I find myself there, I always fire off Zo spells to shut the three other doors that opened to stem the tide. If my memory isn't playing tricks on me.

I now use the junction, just because I read about it on these forums and it made sense. before that I used "Supplies for the Quick"...but getting back there could be an issue at times.
