I would like to translate to Spanish, is it possible?

Post by Riverwind »

ENGLISH
Hello everyone, I'm a fan of this game since I bought SkullKeep DM2.

I found your website and I loved it, there are a lot of documentation about the series.

This game is a great unknown in Spain and that could have many followers if I was writing in Spanish.

I would like to translate for some games to Spanish, is it possible?.
What tools could be used for the translation?. (items, messages, etc)

Thank you very much.

(items, mensajes, etc)

Muchas gracias.

Let's do it in spanish :)
Hola Riverwind !

That was long to write, i've lost my spanish abilities for a long time !

RTC (return to chaos) could be a way, but there are others:

there's a chance to change the language by editing graphics.dat
maybe with some editor? There is a program that can look into all different dm-formats and display graphics etc..

--> maybe look at skwin?

and this to see some modifications.

Maybe you could create a new branch in the DM-wiki for DMII related information? From there a Spanish section.

If there is a Spanish version it will be a very good excuse to play...I can pretend that it is educational software.

It is very possible. Take a look at http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/721 . I would recommend changing all the English text entries to Spanish. It would be easier that way.

Best thing is that someone provides a full list of spanish translation (table with spanish in front of english).
Then I'll do the graphics.dat.

The graphics.dat is already designed to contain multilanguage. Make use of this possibility!

Alright guys, I combed through the graphics.dat in kentaro's editor and pulled all the English text into an Excel document. I'm hosting it on Google Docs for anyone here to edit.
