Ok, I played this, and from what I can tell it is slightly different yet the same to gladiator I
Anyway, using the monsters from Nightkni spoils the surprise for that dungeon, but they are fun monsters so if you don't play that
Most of the monsters are straight attackers, so it is just a case of intelligently building yourself up against opponents who sound sane. Better gear with better monsters, which i like
Anyway, all joruman's points stand from pt1, I would love to see something that is a true progression with different fights and fighting styles each round.
Still, if a little repetative there is something about building up all the shiny gems on the wall that keeps you going, and I will say it was worth it for the ending. I music etc just perfectly hit, and I was all decked out royally with my best clobber so it worked out really well.
