[Custom dungeon] Warlord [RTC] [Zed5Duke]

Post by Zed5Duke »

Version: 1 for RTC V0.49
Platform: RTC
Author: Zed5Duke
Date published: 2009, February 26
Date last updated: 2009, February 27

Notes:
Size: One huge grass field (battlefield) there is no usual dungeon labirynths
Difficulty: Impossible (person who finish this dungeon gain title warlord)
Graphics: Brand new wallset and skeleton army (30 new monsters)

At begining it seem to be easy because you are healthy, experienced, equiped.
But you must stand against whole army and its not so easy task. To win battle
you need to kill skeleton leader (he wear horned helm) get from him blue gem
and use it to open teleport room hidden in bushes. Surely succes depend on
tactic, fast decisions, so its not just stupid combat game, require lot of thinking.

--------

I finished playing this game using 2 heroes first time in 32 minutes, second in 25 min. Ofcourse as creator i known weak points (but still its total chaos, everytime battle its different)
everything work ok

You churn these things out like they're nothing, man...
I'm really shocked at just how many dungeons you've pumped out in the last month or two.

I'll check this out... but just a piece of off-topic criticism:
You should learn more advanced mechanics and stuff, you seem to be able to handle the basic stuff VERY well (given how many dungeons you've spat out) I think that you should try to do stuff that you haven't seen before... like what Sophia did with her vorpal arrow, etc.

Back on-topic: You're doing well, Zed, keep it up.

15 mn.. the only difficulty was to identify the boss :)
nice wallset but :
- it needs fog so that bushes and monsters don't pop suddenly
- if you go forward in one direction, only the floor may flip, not the sky

This is the problem, view range only 3 squares forward, when i tryed to make large trees and obiects it look weird, seem like sthis system works only for darkness or fog.

I dont known how made sky which is not moving, is there any options for that?

Game is very easy then, finall bos should be maybe placed far from teleport and have stronger guards around, especially sorciers. During first test i played one unarmed character and it was really impossible.

This is short experimental dungeon, maybe i should place them all into one topic, sory about trashing this forum.

No man, one custom dungeon per thread! Otherwise I'd get confused if I was looking for hints as to how to solve a problem in [RTC] Nightkin ;)

Indeed, as long as a dungeon or demo exists, make a thread!

In your wallset definition, use 2 bitmaps for the sky : one for north and south, the other one for east and west.
