Hmm. Chaos' dungeon workshop?

But I guess it has been more or less decided already since andyboy is using the term "Chaos forge" in his posts...

If you like I can make it an option in the INI file. :)

Then you can call it what you like .. hehe

Im only using CF as it is winning the poll at the moment.

Let's not overdo it. I think it should be settled and used so that people can get accustomed to the name, whatever it's gonna be... Not everything has to be customizable, even if the suggestions for RTC are pretty creative these days...

Seeing as we have another editor on the scene and that it uses java as its core. I would suggest calling it "Chaos in a coffee cup" but that's too long. So maybe RT-Caffine or some such instead.

Hehe, point taken. Im currently (doing a Gambit) and working out setting up my own company and possibly going contracting or freelancing from home, that should give me plenty of time.

The editor basics are there (alwasy have been), im patiently waiting for teh canvas control of blitzmax so I can develop a proper cross platform application (linux, mac, windows) for the first bigg ish project

The XML files are coming along niceley, there is a new objectVault and I do have a check in on it every now and then.

What I need to do (which is quite boring) is extract ALL the graphics from DM/CSB/RTC and link their names up with their respective objects.

There is method in the madness, its a bit of a different approach to the original editor I did, although with lots of it ported across.

Maybe if I get some time, I will knock up a proof of concept screen to show you what I have in mind :)

Actually, the following would be a GREAT BIG help to the progress of the editor.

If I could get the graphics extracted with their relevant RTC names (i.e. MONSTER_DRAGON_RED - not worried if there are numbers or _LEFT, _RIGHT, etc on the end or anything) and the rules for scaling them (and wall graphics) that would be AMAZING.

Just all teh graphics extracted (with rubbish filenames) would be a good start, I can rename them by hand.

Andy
