Fire shield

Post by terkio »

Now I have a permanent fire shield
Normally it lasts for a duration depending of the strenghth of the Ful Bro Neta spell.

It happened in "dungeons matter". RTC 0.49
It became permanent after I practiced a lot of this spell to boost the priest levels.
I firstly thought it lasted very long, because of adding many Mon Ful Bro Neta spells.
Then I saw it was on for ever.
It shows, but it is not clear wether I have fire protection.

It's probably just lasting a very long time.
If it *is* a bug, it won't get fixed, because RTC is no longer developed.
So unfortunately you will have to accept it. :-(

You are right, it lasts very long.
It is not a bug, it's a feature

As I remeber, when doing many Mon Ful Bro Neta, the shield durations don't add in the original DM on Atari or PC.
It seems they do in RTC.

Who knows how multiple fire shield spell combine ( about duration and protection ) ?

There is some form of decreasing return in the formula for casting spelld, and also a hard cap - at least there is for stat boosting. If you ever look to the DSB forum, then one of Sophia and Lunever's posts explain this DM difference.

In RTC I think they just stack.
