nothing much happening here, heh.

Re: silent forum :)
uhh.. i actually spent the whole damn day on reading the source and rewriting parts of it to compile under unix, and i have to say that i hate inline assembler when porting code, and i hate MFC.
it would rule if the author would write a small platform abstraction layer in the code to handle IO and gfx/sfx. after that, the game would port to quite much everything with not that much work.

The Inline assembler is quite necessary to make it
run on my old 166MHz pentium. And it is confined to an
extremely small piece of video code. If you dislike Inline
Assembly, I can ship you the Atari Machine Code to
translate instead. That is what I had.
;-) ;-) ;-)
I have done my part, IMHO. Now it is up to you to
write a small platform abstraction layer. Mostly because
I don't know what those words mean. It is nice that we
have you to do such things.
I can help by telling you what the code accomplishes and
how it is arranged. It ain't obvious because it is MFC
code that replaces things like poking the sound chip and
the video chip during hardware interrupts. I'm still
not positive that it is even 'correct'.
And remember that I am not the 'author' any more than
the translator of of a great book is the author of that
book.

Wow, so there is a chance for rebirth of CSB on linux?
(My Amiga died three years ago, my STe (2MBram enhanced :))
still dwells under my bed, but I fear of its health...)
