Conflux II: Long Lost Wand

Post by Ian Clark »

How the hell do I get out of this room? I have the wand but there doesn't seem to be a way out.

Not to worry, I did it in the end and managed to get out with the Wand.

Dude! How'd you get in that room! I assume the wand you're referring to is the one that "went down the drain"? But I don't have the faintest idea ...

I am not 100% sure myself how I managed it, I seem to remember it being somewhere near where you get the Cross Key. You can end up on the other side of it if you walk down some stairs in the cellar and come to an immediate dead end.

If you solve the sewer map you may well find the answer...

Or just wander blindly as Ian did : )

I have most of the sewers mapped except one spot by the current... I'll try the second option.

I'm trying, but I can't solve it. It's very clear what area of the dungeon the map is referring to. I tried starting from the plate, leaving a stick on it, and moving as quickly as possible, via the path indicated, to where the cross key is found, but I don't find any new areas or pits.

You have the right idea, except a) the party on the pad is the starting trigger, not an object, and b) speedd isn't the key, merely finding the area revealed before resetting the puzzle. In later versions a sound indicates if you have messed up, in the version you are playing, perhaps not. But you are in the right area close to the cross key puzzle...just look for something that wasn't there before, and don't stray too far
