Yep... I used to play
Ninja Warriors
around the same time on 3 screen (posted that one earlier in the thread).
Let's go vertical this time:

They had the full 3 screens at the arcade I went to, too. They also had Tekken running on one of those gigantic rear-projection screens that people thought were good in the 90s but look stupid now. Those were the days...
My favorite arcade game from back then was...

One of the earlier
Virtua Fighter
games.... The character looks better defined than i remember them being in the first game, so i'd say it was
VF2

Damn, I feel so useless. How can you people know so many games? I don't know any of these!
Finally playing and immensely enjoying the awesome Thimbleweed Park -a-reno!

Lol me neither, but if they're all from old arcade machines, that's probably why
.
How about this one...

Ameena's reminds me of a PC game a friend of mine used to play in the 90s, but a) i'm not all that sure it's the same one i'm thinking of... and b) can't remember the name anyway.
Can't seem to sneak one past Gambit at the moment... Right again! Mine was indeed
Slap Fight
.
I'll try another:

I've never actually played the arcade version, but I still recognize it.

Truthfully.... at the moment, i'm trying to find a coin-op that Gambit doesn't know. No luck yet!

Here's another pic from the same game...it
is from the '90s and I can't really think of any other games i've played that looked like this, so you might be thinking of the right one, Saumun

OK, so I cheated with Sauman's last arcade game and did a Google reverse image search:
Never heard of this game. Well done Sauman, you stumped me

Gambit, if you're going to give away the answer, you should use spoiler tags.

Yeah... In it's death throes there were a number of attempts at
Doom
clones. As i remember, none got close... but i thought
Gloom
was a lot of fun to play.

Actually there was a quake like clone in the works at the end of life.. and graphically it was equal to the quake of the time.. but it only made it to demo stage. I think they just wanted to prove it could be done.. after that doom was converted over and I played it on the a3000 and an a4000 aga.

Doom on an A3000 (i.e., without AGA) must have looked... interesting.

Even with AGA, i remember having to play stuff like Alien Breed 3D in a very small window for it to be decent (though i had an a1200, not the a4000). I recall playing Heretic on a friend's pc around this time and thinking, hmmm.... maybe time to change.
