DSB-DM Error: Getting the Firestaff

Ok - so you use Zo Kath Ra, pick it up and use on the gem holder - and wonder of wonder the Power Gem appears... all is well untill you try to take it using the firestaff. If you do this the gem holder returns to an empty slot but the firestaff remains useless....

However... if, once you have activated the holder with the Zo Kath Ra spell you click it - you are presented with a nice powered firestaff - to go alongside the un-powered one. .

Blah.. this is because of a rtc-ism in the amalgam mechanics. Fixed.

Currently (DSB V.051) the firestaff-amalgam isn't working. After using the ZoKathRa first and the clicking the firestaff on the powergem, both the firestaff and the powergem just disappear. Any idea how to fix this?

EDIT: I found an old hotfix-workaround: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=28586&p=110410&hilit=firestaff#p110410

Still, this needs to repaired in the dungeon.
