Timed quests or missions?

Post by Gambit37 »

Can I do timed quests in DSB? Either an entire game, or a small in-game mission?

Well, you can send a message that triggers something some huge number of ticks into the future, but I assume you want something a bit more fancy and automatic than that. :)

In which case, no, at present, DSB doesn't support that.

Actually, a long-delayed action may be all I need to do what I'm thinking. I'll experiment. :-) Thanks.

Another option would be for me to add a sys_ function that ticks once every real-time second.
Then you could implement whatever sorts of timers or whatever else you wanted, from that.
