DSB Version 0.68

Post by Sophia »

What's new:

- Tweaked monster movement to be more faithful to DM/CSB
- Ensured the RNG sequence is consistent between DSB and ESB
- Fixed projectiles passing through monsters at point-blank range when the party retreats
- Fixed crash when distant worms and rats tried to rotate 180 degrees
- Fixed projectiles sometimes passing through worms and rats when doing a rotation and then a move
- Fixed a crash when monsters not in the dungeon tried to investigate their surroundings
- Fixed some bad handling of linked lists that could lead to inconsistent monster behavior
- Fixed further trigger count bugs when triggers destroy their opbys

I cannot access this. My antivirus blocks it... and even if I override it, it won't open.

D'oh, sorry.... Forget the last post. Must have been something messed up. Shut down and restarted. Now working.

For what it's worth, I scanned DSB with VirusTotal and generated 53 clean verdicts and one false positive. The one red flag was a match based on heuristics (i.e., it thought DSB kinda sorta looked like a virus, not that it actually contained a known one) so I'm quite sure there's no actual issue.

@Sophia, just curious but are you still actively developing DSB?

At the moment I'd say I'm inactively developing DSB.

That is to say, I haven't had the chance to work on it lately, but I haven't given up on it.

I finished Legend of Grimrock on my tablet a few days ago and it made me wonder about this forum. I am amazed and delighted to see that there is still a bit of activity here. Keep on keeping on, you beautiful people!
