Forum Quote of the week

Post by copperman »

Something light to take your mind of all the badness in the world. Or yet another thread. Not everyone using this forum will be interested in all that is going on here, so for those people here is a classic line from a regular poster.
Paul Stevens wrote:Debugging hardware I have never seen at a distance of 6000 miles is a bit of a challenge.
Go to this thead for context. :D

Please, if you come across other nuggets like this, post them here.
Don't be scene or herd!

Yup, got a good giggle from that one. I very much appreciate Mr. Steven's dry wit. There are similar classics dotted around some of his other posts. :)

For some top quotes there is a great site over at www.bash.org I spend literally hours browsing through this one.

It is all IRC chat room logs of people saying funny/dumb stuff.

Muhahah

Just thought I'd resurrect the topic for this quote about the CSB engine:

I thought I'd ressurect this post for this one (again Paul) about a new CSB problem:

And here's one we all prepared earlier:
Strange puddles of slime Bailey's were dancing under Stamm's large chair.
The double-noun posting on those kinds of threads can get annoying, but somehow in this context it works. And the mind boggles at this one:
Remembering Stamm's strangely shaped jockstrap contents, Gothmog winced, then smiled, wondering where this was going to take him: heavenwards, potentially?

Gaaah. You're all perverts. JOCKSTRAP CONTENTS, really. This is turning into a Stamm/Gothmog love story...

My favorite quote is again from Paul Stevens. I nominate him for funniest board member.

Dunno if we're actually supposed to be doing this by week or not! It seems kinda random, so I figured I'd toss one of beowuuf's that gave me a laugh up here.
yeah, i think the delirium necessary to actually run screaming up to huge scorpions and spiders and attack them comes from from eating apples and bread lying on the floors of dungeons : )

You truely know that Gambit's Christmas story thread has reduced the sanity of everyone when you start reading sentences like this:

One not related to the christmas story:
Zyx wrote:Yessssssssssss! I was getting bored with my player doll full of needles.
This was his reaction to a new CSBwin effect being implemented. If you never played conflux II and needed proof of his twisted hatred of dungeon players, i think this might hint at it : )

And we've got beowuuf to thank for this one, too ... I think, unless I've misquoted or something.
Unfortunately, when I played it I walked into walls all the time and threw clothes at the first creature I met, and my friend never let me play it again.
That's a great image right there... sounds like his crew was traveling through the dungeon drunk, what with the staggering and random stripping...

I killed a mummy with a gold coin the first time I played. Three of my party members were already dead, and I panicked. You should have seen the hallway littered with all the junk I'd been throwing at mummies for the last five minutes. Random junk will save your life, man.
