new dungeons

Post by chiefy »

well I don't know if there are others like me but I have no website

I'm not online either, so there's no way I could have one

I am a week away from finishing a 9 level dungeon which I'm fairly pleased with
Can this site posibly "host" any members' dungeon efforts ?

we could have a showcase of the TOP TEN dungeons limited to 15 levels of maximum 20 X 20 (if memory is a consideration)

if that cannot be allowed I was wondering if George Gilbert would allow me to store his RTC files on a coding site I'm a member of
it could work like this

the coding site agrees to store the code with George's permission

then the download of George's files plus my 9 level dungeon is all on there
which means anybody from the coding site can download my dungeon

I was hoping this could be done without "unpacking" because that was quite a flippin chore

Cowsmanaut or myself can host it for you
Cowsmanaut already hosts the RTC download now, so that webspace might be more appropriate

if anybody is willing to "host" my dungeon then I will send you my CD-R in the post
sorry I can't "upload" it, but I'm not on internet

please e-mail me with your address and tell me where the dungeon can be seen by others [e-mail me at brown family 76 @cwctv. net] (no spaces)
we SHOULD have a TOP TEN of dungeons on here somewhere
I'm not saying that mine is good enough to be in the TOP TEN even
but I'm sure there are many better ones out there but I haven't seen the place yet where these dungeons are held

when ppl download George's DM code they get ORANGE and PHANTOM
how cool would it be for them to get all TOP TEN dungeons too !!!?

top ten idea: hard to rate. The dungeons of the enclyclopaedia have been rated by individuals, and i think the system is better as some dungeons would appeal to one person, but not another

Maybe a page showing the ratings and all dungeons available could be arranged at some point....

As for the uploading/not able to - surely if you can e-mail (cafe?) you can attach soemthign to disk?
I can't help with giving out address to upload, i think if you can ask a friend or find a net-cafe nice enough tolet you use a floppy/CD with your dungeon on them that should be that

internet cafe

Post by chiefy »

thanks but <a href="http://www.myinternetcafe.co.uk">internet cafes</a>refuse attempts to upload/download stuff for fear of unintentional viruses
I should know, I have been down to <a href="http://www.myinternetcafe.co.uk">my internet cafe</a> enough times already :-) they certainly won't do that for anyone

I've seen enough ppl coming in and asking, pleading even but no joy

Has anybody played this dungeon through yet except for Beowuuf? I'm curious since I abandoned it after getting killed within minutes on my first try and have not yet recovered enough to set foot in it again... ;o)
