Fluxcages/Triggers...

Post by Saumun »

Is it possible in any way to have a trigger operated by a fluxcage?
For reasons i won't bore you with, i want a fluxcage cast by the firestaff to create another fluxcage on a different level.

But...
The fluxcage being a floor item, there doesn't seem to be a way to trigger this. The only floor items that can be "Operated By" in a trigger as movable ones.
The fluxcage being an attack method, rather than a spell also prevents this.
Is there any way around this?
Any help greatly appreciated.

And to reiterate... It needs to be a fluxcage cast by the firestaff that triggers this.

I think you can make haze and flux cage clickable, just like any floor item, I never tried to make a flux cage do that, but I did try it with the haze and it works. anything that can be triggered is doable.

Dammit.... Thought i had it nailed but it wont work.
I cloned the fluxcage attack method, and changed it to create new on floor with a misc item as a secondary object (the fluxcage itself being the first).
Then cloned the firestaff to cast the new cloned fluxcage, hoping the misc item would operate a trigger on that tile................but

It wont allow the secondary object.
Why is this?

Hopes dashed in one fell swoop...

hmm, how about if you had the cloned firestaff's cloned attack activate a relay, then that relay could place 2 objects on the floor in front of the party (via 2 action wallobjects) in front of the party, the fluxcage spell, like normal, and a cloned "dummy" item that has no visible graphics, that activates the trigger.

great stuff Saumun!

"It wont allow the secondary object" if you create an object, you can only make one, the secondary part is ignored, only used when swapping, if that's what you meant using actions Saumun.
