I assume what I just said. You assign an order of abilities, and then roll for them. So no 'eh, I'll put my low score to charisma...no, wait, put it in wisodw). It's just you get what you get! Which, btw, was the rules I played with in basic D&D. TYhough you could cripple some high scores to raise your prime requisite in your main score.

Eh, people can complain things are easier or dumbed down, but I think it was more fun to recall those days fondly than to still be forced to consistantly use that method and nothing else. There seem to be far less hours in the day, and far more thingx that are fun to be doing, to have any hobby or entertainment that punishes you for playing it for no reason :D

Sorry, not the reason I was on this thread. Just to let money/OB and LB know that sorry, got behind with the updating. Time is flying, and so on. WIll update tomorrow at some point. Some poitn later, of course, since it's supposed to be a nice day. Which, of course, cuts in to when I'm supposed to play Ameena's gamelife, and start my infro game with Raixel for the next game!

Didn't you wonder why I ended up with constitution as the highest stat? :D Now I see why you were so shocked, you thought I picked that order for him! :D

Yes, yes I did. You didnt have to ironman, as IMHO 3d6 is punishment enough. ;) Well, if you want to swap, you are more than welcome. Im actually kinda liking the little world I set up for Sssil, though, cuz I took his low stats into account when I designed where he came from. You are basically the lizar equivelant of someone in their late 20s who doesnt have a job and lives with their parents. Oh, AND your parents are bigwigs, too.

Nah, I meant that was why I rolled the 4d6 stats aswell, I'd use them if it was a problem.

Eh, punishing would be 5s :)

Edit: And yeah, I noticed they were bigwigs!

Btw I will be AWOL from May 20th until late June. This will presumably cause issues with either the end of Beo’s game or the start of Raixel’s. :( Or both. This could be a problem, any ideas what I will miss? I would hate to miss the finale of all these months…but I really don’t want to have to rush the entire game either. :(

On a related note I have been thinking about chars for the new game, maybe a fighter. Some sort of captain of the guard type person (i.e. high-ish ranking commoner, rather than officer or noble) in some army/militia, so maybe he knows Westian. Not sure why…perhaps he worked as a guard in the monastery. Or if Haynuus was a mercenary maybe he fought some campaign alongside him.

Also, should we post something to see who else on the forum would like to join? Just so we don’t seem too insular! :)

That might be because there are 109 pages of the OOC alone :D Yeah, Raixel, you might want to put a little comment somewhere - or even put a link in your signature so it pulls people in everywhere :D

Anyway, yeah OB, I don't want to exclude you from the ending either. A month, huh? I know it's starting to wrap up, but I can see it sort of creeping in to that without - as you say - sudden';y charging on. Tehre are a few thigns we could do there, none ideal but might work out. Hmm... let's keep going as we are, and I'll keep my thinking cap on as we get closer.

What's the occasiona, anyway?

Yes, I guessed it was far more likely to impact the end of the current game than the start of the new one. Which is sad, but I don't want to upset the game for the other 5 people plus GM. So it might be a case of Westian on auto-pilot. But as you say lets worry about that closer to the time (and actually it is May 25th I am off, back around June 20th).

As for the occasion, it is my wedding and honeymoon! :) So it is pretty important, and I don't think I will be checking in on line when I am climbing through temples/lying on beaches/treking through moutains!

lol - if there's ever a good excuse to avoid posting an update... It's getting married.

Congrats, or at least well done on getting the hard bit done and asking the little lady (and having her accept, aghem).

"Due to the hurry, and her worry for Helm perhaps, it weas harder to pick up the differences in the ground and the group kept discovering soft areas of sharp areas almost too late."

I had to read that one like 3 times and I still dont know what it means!

I know what you mean Raixel... I also had to re-read that one a few times, and it still doesn't really make much sense :?

Last time I do an update for you lot in the morning and make myself late for work.

Should have read 'or' not 'of', plus it needed tidied.

Ameena's not got as good a perception roll as before. You guys are walkign through the chaos lands. You guys are rushing. Therefore, you guys are finding soft or sharp areas of ground almost too later before you spear your feet on them or go through them.

The party are travelling on ground that has been twisted and combined with the things around it. So solid rock could be several feet of grass, grass could be as sharp as glass, etc.

So it's more 'eew' 'ouch' 'AAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'

Despite being up earlyish (which is bad given I went to bed late, never a good combination for work) I seem to have run out of time :( Update at lunchtime I hope. We'll see what happens when you go back the long way round. In the end, it can't be too much. I can't kill you all off with an arbitrary random encouter just before the big finale now, can I? Ok, I cooooould, but that just seems wrong.

*mental note, pick off only one of them*

Lol, of course, I knew intellectually it was easter and the extended holidays cause we are busy at work, forgot to ask what that meant for all of you!

I'm not doing anything around either bank holiday, so I'll be around. Anyone else going to be absent?
