DM: Legacy

Post by beowuuf »

For those who don't know, this is a net (multiplayer?) version of DM. Here is a message from it's creator, Daniel Decourdemanche:

"Hello,
I'm the programmer of DML.
It seems that many people don't have the url, or have sound problem playing.
There is a french help page but could you pass this message in the group "clones"
I lost both password and user logon.

1 - The URL is <a href="http://www.avalon-games.com">www.avalon-games.com</a>
2 - The first level (where you have to find the better avatar to play level2) is online and working with
disk game saving on windows systems
3 - If you have sound issue, its because your windows media player is not configured to play mp3 encoded wavs ; or winamp agent does what it wants with your computer! Go to wmplayer options, then "format" then check every option.

Please feedback to me. If there is enough wanderers, i will put an all english version.
Thanx²

Daniel Decourdemanche"

Ok that webpage is screwy and messed with my browser window, now it won't maximise properly. It is leaving about an inch at the top of my screen. I am useing IE 6, 1024 * 768 resolution.

<edit>
Ok it *really* screwed up my browser. Closing all windows and opening new ones does not fix the problem.

<edit again>
About the game: the window for the game is not large enough, or something. I can't see any of the controls and the arrow keys don't behave intuitively. Also one picture (which when clicked brings up the "about" window) is not loading. The space reserved for this is rather large and this could be what is bumping the controls etc down too low. <i>Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub17.ezboard.com/uamaprotu.show ... maprotu</A>  <IMG HEIGHT=10 WIDTH=10 SRC="http://www.ezboard.com/ezgfx/gicons/black_bluespot.gif" BORDER=0> at: 11/12/01 9:47:33 pm

Odd, i too run in 1024x780, have ie 6 , ands it runs fine (only played the HoC once or twice, as slow modem connection)

It ran ok on ie 5.5 too...so it sounds like there is soemthing else affecting it...
I'm stiull running under win98se (plus all the upgrades i could get from the update page)...

I couldn't get anything from the site at all - just one large white full-screen window, and nothing else happens.

Stranger and stranger...I (Sneaklily) tried it at work, on a machine with win98, no frills except for ie 5.5 or so, and it ran fine....

Either of you ruinning any anti pop-up software? ((ok ok, obvious though, wouldn't explain the white screen for gambit...)
