Conflux_3.5_B8.7z should have the directX option set.

Which version of SpliceCSB should I be using? I tried SpliceCSB21 but it didn't seem to be able to find logs previous to one I put in it to splice together, so it only gave me playfile of whatever log I put in it. Is the correct way to use the splicer to simply drag and drop the latest recording onto the splicer? This is the way I recall doing it in the past.

EDIT: It seems on your site that this SpliceCSB was uploaded 2008 so I assume it won't work with the latest 10000 length logs, could I possibly get a copy of the latest version to check the recording as I go?

Sorry about that. SpliceCSB24.exe is available now.

It has had very little testing. So be quick to blame
the program for any problems you have.

Yes....Delete the old playfile and drag the latest
logfile onto the splice executable.

Why not ship the original savegame and those
recordings to me after you test them yourself.
Double protections.

Cheers, that version worked fine. That particular recording was only a couple of minutes, just ran around madly, saved, exited and restarted to test out the splicer with the two log files. I'll send you some logs when I do something a bit more involved.

I have some problems with this release.

After a death, I choose 'Restart the Game". The game crashes when I select a savegame.

Screenshot here : Image

Savegame here : http://simspt.free.fr/csbgame.dat

EDit : ok works fine now. It seems the bug happen when a svgame has DSA warning message.

'Restart the Game". The game crashes
Thanks for the 'csbgame.dat.

I have reproduced the problem using CSBwin11_064.
I never use 'RESTART THIS GAME'. I always close
the window and restart CSBwin and 'RESUME'. This
works OK for your savegame.

The DSA warning should have no effect on anything.

I'll try to fix the problem but even after I fix it
I would advise not using it if you plan to make
a recording of a long game. It is not well-tested.

Fixes this crash at 'RESTART'. Totally innocuous
bug dealt with the lack of a trace file and came
nowhere close to any functionality of the engine.
That helps reduce my anxiety a bit. Some bugs
in this area are really subtle and tough.

Hmm interesting... Sometimes I hear a scream and Iadio's Wis goes down like mad. Any idea what's wrong?

Hmmm... it damages wisdom, but there's no indication of sickness, nor there is any enemy present when such things happen. I wonder if Zyx might provide the answer.

Does it happen on the council level or anywhere? Is there a slight darkness?
Are you wearing some special item? (a helmet maybe?)

By the way, my site is down, I'll fix this soon.

Here you go.

I double checked it. It happens with and without the helm and only Iadio is affected. If the answer to my problem is too spoilerish, please send me a PM. If it's one of denzines of the dungeons, I'd like some inquiry as well as I started to write down any findings in Conflux in form of a solution/hintbook. Not sure how much I will be able to crack this time...

Nothing in the mines, sewers or the temple that might be causing it? Or anything in the inventory?

Okay... I THINK I got it.
Spoiler
When I switch Fury that I got off St. Prometheus from one champion's hand to another champion's hand, it produces that effect.
Bug or a feature?

Ahhh yes... this Fury has
Spoiler
an eternal flame. When it runs out, it drains from you to recharge when you unsheathe it.
It should affect the wearer though, not the first character. Let me check if I can fix this.

I found a very rare bug...
Spoiler
Apparently the helm of madness(Dexhelm) can recite random texts, right? I got a text from Sonja's mirror - her stats as well as her name before that. I don't think that's intentional.

I knew it could happen, and left it this way. Consider the helm gave you metaknowledge.

I've just started playing Conflux and it's been an interesting learning curve...

I found a scroll with the password for the Mines, but the web site says the password is incorrect. I didn't have any problems with the passwords for the Cellar and Sewers.

Who can I contact for help with the map site?

Thanks
