My heartbeat almost stopped when I read this thread, I already thought your dungeon is ready! I'll be waiting patiently for a beta test, then. Take your time.

Patience my dear friends. Its a bit of a sprawl, I don't think you can call some of them 'levels' and certainly not access them all in one game. Its big! I'm sorta hanging on to see if adding masks/skins/ wall graphics becomes accessible to my level of understanding.

I will be clearing the decks for this one. Can't wait to see what's in store for us this time. Chaos is making more comebacks than Elvis or even Blunkett.

Update: hope to restart work soon when my computer stabilises a little. We are looking at the summer now.

For CSBWin, so just 16 colours available lol! Don't expect RTC style graphics!

Now that certainly cannot work. What happens
when it gets dark? What happens to the
movement buttons? How di you do that?

Yes, this is a problem with using the brown colour - you can lose it when the dark palette shifts! Found that out when I redid my own interface : (

lose it when the dark palette shifts!
This is because of the way the Atari hardware
worked. All the pixels on a single scan-line
had to use the same palette. CSBwin has been
fiddled with enough that I believe this limitation
is very easy to overcome. Mostly for the Pocket PC
where the screen is rearranged. The movement
buttons and spell buttons could share a palette
with the portraits instead. Let me know if you need
this.

I find it to be a useful feature: when it gets dark, you have difficulty in moving! But most people use the keypad anyway I guess.

By the next solar eclipse I reckon. Still tinkering with walls with help from Sir Zyx, and need to finish off level design. Plus new weapons. Need to sort ceilings out too.

I think my original time scales were not far out! I dusted down a few scrolls tother night, polished a sword or two...

The fire is starting to burn again.

After watching the ending of Bane of the Cosmic Forge again, I wonder if your dungeon is going to be some kind of sequel to it? Because the phrase "The Hand of Destiny" does ring a bell, and I know of your love of Wizardry 6...
