Hmmm that yahoo address keeps bouncing back my emails, could you please email me your email so i can email you my emails directly. Cheers!

I'll try emailing to the yahoo address anyway.

Edit: A couple of other things, my spells keep fizzing for no reason, then do it continuosly for a while until they start working again...not sure why and it doesn't seem to affect light but it's irrating nonetheless, might be something to do with the mines level blockage of the light spell as it always seems to occur on or around that level. Also, i don't think the second to last corbum lets you level up for some reason and gando has elija's picture in his portrait.

The current version of Conflux has a noted bug that causes spells to fizzle for awhile at times. If you can download the previous version from somewhere, I recommend it. I got very far with the latest version before I had saved it in a way that keeps my characters from living (they're under water and poisoned and I can't cure the poison becasue of the fizzle).
I believe that some of the characters in a certain guild have masked their identities and that is why the portraits seem wrong.

Whoops i didin't realise you had to walk on a specific square to enable the next level, i thought it occured when you use the corbum lock, so it's working fine.

I think the way to fix the fizzle bug is just to try casting different spells, when one works the original spell you were trying to cast appears to be fixed, works for me anyway.

Edit: There's a bug down the bottom of PitD in the giggler maze, the end of the maze, neither teleports worked, the "to friends" and the normal teleporter, the haze appeared but didn't do anything. So i was stuck in that tiny room, so i loaded a back up game from further back and it worked fine. I'll mail the savegame of the bug.

If you were carrying the powergem when you went into that maze, it's a known bug.
The 'normal' teleporter never works, btw, I think it's a teleporter for gigglers to go back into the maze. For the party there is only one way out of that room.

Sent the savegame with 129 points (no guild endings). Thought I will find the time to replay it fast and get 175 but unfortunately it wont happen any soon. Maybe in the summer.

ps. forgot to give my nick in the mail, the one with quests listings is me :]

18 points ?

Post by Ssskel »

Hi,
Is it possible not to know how you got 18 points ? :)
Could you look at comments below please ?
Thanks guys,
Ssskel

1 POINT:
for each air-rune activated scroll >> no clue, can you give examples ?
for each flask - OK 3
for each funereal weapon - no clue ... hope I didn't lost the dagger with the fur trader... where do you find it please ?
Meet lich Vecna - hmm not sure...
Kill the mothers of the egg chamber - no
find the furs trader - yes
get the scorching silk whip (bug warning: the scroll doesn't count the point) - got it but doesn't count
enter the forges - OK
Get the dwarven treasure - OK
Survive the Trial - no
Win the circus prize 99 - no

3 POINTS:
For each cerberus - no
for each piece of the dragon armour (bug warning: the scroll doesn't count the points for some of the pieces) - helm I think
get the weapon of Druafang - is that furx ? who is druafang by the way ?
get the burning whip of the Balrog - no

5 POINTS:
find the kitchen lab of Solune -no
find the cursed armoury -no
find the long lost wand - is that at sewer level or something else ? Because I thought there was a wand which gives point at sewer level ?
ransack the white chambers - no
get the coral poleyn - no
save the besieged town - no
Get a FIERY cerberus - no

Air rune scroll will say: scroll of teleport cast rune of air to activate it.
Funereal weapons can be identified by examining the weapon with a priest that I believe has to be at least journeyman. Not positive on the level though. Keep a look out for the adding point to scroll message if you pick up any weapons.
You'll know if you meet Vecna. She is down a unique looking corridor.
Weapon of Druafang is the Furx. Druafang near as I can tell was a legendary dragon slayer who introduced the magic realm to the population. I may be way off base with that though.
I too had thought the wand was at the sewer level, but it isn't. Look for a map in the game to lead you to it.
You don't mention how many dragon armor pieces you have so I can't really figure out where all your points came from myself.

Hi again,
Thanks for the answers.
-About the wand ? well when you pick that unique wand up (down from cellar) it says feat will be remembered I think. isn't that the good one ?

-I've already seen (and been murdered by) vecna. But when do you get the point ? when it's too late or sooner ?

So I thought I had :
*3 flasks,mine,fur trader, mine treasure : 6
*got furx and helm of armor : 6
*thought I had wand : 5

So maybe I have 17 points... Wonder about the 18th...

Anytime you see the message: This feat will be remembered, you get points on the scroll. My guess is the 18th is a funereal weapon. You may have picked up the funereal thorn earlier and not realized it, or one of the other funereal weapons for that matter. If not, consider the whip as the last point.
As soon as you are infront of Vecna, you should receive the point. There is a way to escape without fighting Vecna, but it is still difficult.

flasks

Post by Ssskel »

Hi,
Actually, you can get flasks by drinking vinegar ?? Is that a bug or have I been real stupid at the beginning ?
No points for these though.
Thanks,

Hi,
As per one of my previous message, can somebody tell me where to find the funereal dagger ?
I'm curious to see if I gave it to the fur trader or not ?
Thanks,
ssskel

On the mines level in one of the alcoves around the dwarven forge area I think. There's a few of them and it is the last one in the pile.

I just sent a game for the competition in version Bugfix3 with 183 points in the scroll, plus the scorching whip (1) and two pieces of dragon armour (3 + 3), which were broken in this version. So the grand total is 190 points! Of course I don't think you can actually get to 190 without exploiting bugs.

Yes, Antman scored 183+7 points=190, but cheating. That's an achievement, and an entry in a new category!

New entry with Zoom who scored 64 points.

Woo! New catagory, do I also get the normal 175 quest competition? I had that in my old original game, but I have none of my old files here with me...not yet anyway.

I got +1 point don't know why

Post by megar »

Hi.

I have been to level 04 (the forges) {23,09} and got +1 Competition point.
Why ?
This is the "Find the dwarven forge" point ? Shouldn't be in {25,06} ?
