Re: RE: Ninjas
Punch - Damage 32, Experience 8, Fatigue 1
Kick - 48, 13, 5
Stab - 60, 12, 10.
Throw - 0, 5, 0
Of course the power of the weapon makes a difference for example a Diamond Edge is rates as 62 while a dagger just 10. (others - falchion 30, axe 49, hardcleave 70. The maximum values are 255. I am not sure what the hand and foot is rated as in this respect. The damage is a function of weapon rating multiplied by damage rating multiplied by modifiers.

Re: RE: Ninjas
Here's a quick question, however, i think i know the answer.
Why is there no champion that starts with journeynan ninja?
I believe the answer is because ninja is the easiest skill to learn. But then who would be the best choice for a ninja? I think Alex Ander given his stats.
Whats your thoughts?

Re: Ninjas
Also, why do stamm and halk, who both have no mana, have total stat points equaling to 425?

I like where this is going
Why is there a dog called Wuuf and not a cat called Meiow?
I like cats! Dogs are cool too though.

Re: Ninjas
Ok, i'll try to be serious for a moment.
Do the following contribute towards ninja experience:
punch and kick,
any weapon thrown,
the sling and rope,
any item thrown by the party leader's hand,
and what about running through the dungeon?
Please correct me if i'm wrong or missing anything

Re: Ninjas
There is a section on the encyclopaedia that explicitly shows which action is attributed to which skill. I think Adamo asked releatively recently, so perhaps following his posts through his user profile.

Discuss as you want, just pointing out Adamo was investigating the same sort of thing a while ago, so I know we found the right encyclopaedia page for him
Re: Ninjas
from a player´s perspecive, In this response, mine- kick sucks. It is too slow and does not do enough damage, too much stamina loss and a felt high miss rate.
punch is all right, you can exhaust your champions quickly, too but you deal out decent damage(in fact the highest damage per second for all attacks.or something)
use punch at the start of the game when you have no real good fighter weapons available.
throwing weapons around or all stuff basically is good ninja training. Depends on whether you like it or not. Some monsters flee from incoming stuff for a short time, or so it feels. damage - wise throwing stuff can give you the edge in a dreary fighting situation, since you do more damage. (if you do not use the throw command but use the mouse in the viewport the action hand gets not greyed out, so you can still attack..I hope this is correct not sure anymore have not played for a long time..)
forget sling and rope. real adventurers jump down pits. ok, seriously now: there is the rope climbing trick, gives quite some ninja experience but is very stamina unfriendly. Could work if the other champions create some ya potions in the meantime. I personally don´t use the rope.
running around in the dungeon sometimes hurts and has no real value otherwise.(you could say running around and descending to a deeper dungeon level increases experience multiplying boni(bonusses) from the level you are in )
I don´t think you can derive all that just by looking at some tables on the ency(they are valuable and all but player experience counts next to sheer numbers, too.)

I thankyou for your help with the matter Beowuuf but I was just thinking of something to add to the thread, sorry if this is classed as spam.beowuuf wrote:Discuss as you want, just pointing out Adamo was investigating the same sort of thing a while ago

Good input zoom, however;
I have noticed monsters fleeing also but it's usually Mummies and those 'orrible blue clubbin' fings. When they are in groups of four if you kill two of them in quick succesion the others may run away for a short time untill they pull themselves together. This gives you chance to run them down whilst their backs are turned, it's cool!zoom wrote:Some monsters flee from incoming stuff for a short time, or so it feels.

Re: Ninjas
I have not been online for a while but i can still post, thankyou Beowuff!
I think it was supposed to be an impression of a character named Ricky from a popular English Cockney soap opera. Who the hell is Lance Corporal Detritus? I was born in 1983 so i may be to young to know this!Trantor wrote:Neither have I (well, most of the time...), but it doesn't protect me.dayday2008 wrote:I aint dun nuffin!
