Guys, this is getting REALLY exciting now... Just a few more hours!
Please post your comments about the game when you have a small break from playing. I'm dying to know what you think :) I'll probably be lurking here and on Grimrock forums very late today.

Thumbs up that the release goes smoothly!

I got up this morning at 7 am wanted to play and then I saw I have to wait some more dang it!!

So I went to work anyway instead of calling in sick!

I'll play when I get home at 6 pm EST.

Not yet. I preordered mine from the Grimrock site, I assume I will be sent a link when it's ready to download.

EDIT: I forgot to check my preorder link; it's ready! I'm downloading as we speak :D

Code entered, steam open, just waiting. I have a funny feeling I might have to wait a day to play though, work and downloads and so forth being what they are!

And poor Grimrock forums - I see the excitement's temporarily knocked them out? :(

Wait, what? Gambit's downloading? LYNCH HIM AND STEAL HIS CODES!!!

Edit: Wait, did I completely ignore the download link in the original e-mail? Oh well, downloading something right now on bittorrent, hopefully spread the load :)

Hmmh, Steam seems to be taking its time to unlock the game (and our servers are getting hammered hard) but if you preordered the game from us you can use the Humble Store link and download the standalone version now. The link is in the mail you got when you preordered the game.

My graphic's card decided that having a working fan was an optional extra, and now keeps overheating :( The good news is what I see of the game so far is cool, just swatting the <redacted> as they slither towards me. The movement and look is really cool, just everythign feels 'right' is the best I can say. And blowing up a <redacted> with a <redacted> was strangely satisfying. Glad you posted a summary of the magic system a while back, looks fun and intuitive to mess around with!

Played 30 mins before a long lost friend phoned, so have't spent much time on it yet. But what I've seen... WOW!
It is simply brilliant, and as Beowuuf said it all just feels "right." However, I'm going to restart with a new party, because I forgot to name them and they are all called "New Prisoner" which was a bit silly of me! :-D

Beo, please enable vertical sync in game settings. This should help with overheating.

Will try that, though it had occasional crashes with Minecraft too (now I understand it's not my main fan at least!) so we'll see how much it helps! Cheers :)

I'm downloading it now, but my connection seems to be a bit shit tonight so I think it's gonna take a whlie. Probably doesn't help that I have a couple of browser windows open and Skype voice chat running at the same time ;).
My dad has been playing it and he thinks it's cool so far - he was stuck earlier looking for a key :D.

Looks awesome, too bad I missed the preorder. My fault for not checking in here more recently, I actually heard from the game from another site (http://seniorgamer.wordpress.com/2012/0 ... neidungen/). :(
Will definitely buy and play that!

Yes, as long as you have sound drivers that support XAudio2 & 5.1 sound.

Been playing the game for the last few hours, and I must say: It's AWESOME!
Congratulations PetriH and the entire development team. I have been waiting years for something like this to be done.
As a professional game designer, working in the industry for almost 10 years now, I find your puzzle design extremely refined and well done.

Once again, congratulations!

I'm still waiting for my bloody connection to behave so I can even finish downloading it - it got to 26% after about an hour and a half or so, then my connection fooked again and it came up with some kind of error ont he download and now it seems to have started again, omg it's soooooo frustrating - of all nights for my sodding connection to be an arse :P.
