Music problem when you die

Things in RTC that do not work as expected (compared to Dungeon Master) or at all! Please read previous posts carefully to see if the bug has already been reported.

No need CS. It does depend on the compression rate. You can use pretty much any rate you want for mp3 (as low as 8kbps - but i wouldn't recommend it). I used a fairly low 128kbps which converts at around the same size as an ogg file.
I think ogg has slightly better performance on sound loss compared to this (at 128), but not really noticeably so.
I can reduce the mp3 files even further, but the quality genuinely starts to suffer.

Yes, depending on the file ogg can also get much smaller. Whatever works best.

Depends on the compression rate. If you compress an mp3 up at 320kbps, then the ogg fares better (in terms of size). At the lower end there is virtually no difference (a couple of kb).

A couple of kb is certainly nothing compared to todays sizes that's for sure. For me sound takes up 4 times the space the graphics takes up. How big is your dungeon?

Huge... but i've just checked and found that i compressed all but one of the sound files at 192kbps. Don't know why i did that! No need... so i can reduce the final compiled size by quite a lot.

Good, a desired result. Music will not play a big role in any dungeon created, but looped sound effects will be.

Have now almost halved the file size. As for the bug.... I'll just have to live with it. Ah well!

Excellent. I guess you're nearly done the dungeon then.

Same problems in testing. Invisible trigger stuff. New one now... Driving me mad! Having another full run at it.

Sorry... Went a bit off-topic there.
