Something about
zombies and Jamaicans
it seems. Not
Plants vs. Zombies
? Or something similar?
A second screen from my game:

Ah.... From the blue shaded polygons oh_brother's looks like
Midwinter
. I never played it, but it looks similar to screenshots i remember from magazines (though i thought the playing area was goggle-shaped).

Infectonator (World Edition)
.

My game had a nice idea, but wasn't all that great to play. I only thought of it because it was published by the same house as oh_brother's game (if i'm right about that one).

oh_brother's I played for a little bit too - if it's that one where you played different people with seperate time.
And lurking into Saumun's spoiler, I think he's right.
After all I'm pretty surprised about this wide palette of gametypes that those few people here are used to!

I don't know Sophia's, and since there are no takers for my last one... it's
Future Wars
.

@ Saumun - yeah, that was
Midwinter
. The playing area is a circle in that shot because you are using a rifle. It is google-shaped when you are skiing. It really was a fantastic game, with a huge world to explore (and you could ski, drive, hang glide or cable-car pretty much anywhere). Also you could recruit and take control of a large number of characters. Very much ahead of its time.
I don't know either of the current ones, so here is another:

Well now... I considered posting oh_brother's latest myself, as i absolutely loved it. In fact i played it very recently in WinUAE. It's
Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker
.

Saumun's last one is the classic
Xevious
. I played it a lot but was terrible at it. In fact, I don't think I was ever very good at vertical shooters (except maybe Slap Fight, but that gave you so much weaponry it became easy
)

Looks very familiar, but I don't recall the name at all
I don't know Sophia's one, but I'm guessing it's from an early console based on the font and screen size.

I don't know Ameena's new one, though I sort of recognise the screenshot. An Amiga game?

The character on top of the 'garage' sign looks familiar in Ameena's game, but i can't think of a name.
Don't know Gambit's.
My last one is from
Terra Cresta
.

Do you remember
Moon Cresta
? (like Galaxian meets Galaga... released after Galaxian, but before Galaga) This is the sequel (at least i always assumed it to be, given the name and the fact that it's by the same company - Nichibutsu).

Yes, it's for the SNES.
It was
Arcana
, also known in Japan as
Card Master: Rimsalia no Fuuin
.

Anyone recognise this one?
It had three different names (Japan, US, Europe), so whichever you fancy....

Yes! The one I played was called something like
Xain Sleena
which always struck me as rather odd.

Yes indeed...
Xain'd Sleena
, which is the original. It was renamed
Solar Warrior
for the US, and
Soldier of Light
for Europe. I personally knew it as the latter.

None of my games will be Amiga games (unless they came out on the Atari as well, I suppose), because I've never even
seen an Amiga IRL, let alone played on one
. The image I linked is from a game we had on the PC, which came as part of a larger game collection (but presumably was released on its own at some point prior to that - this is the only form in which I've seen it, though), some of which I may also post up later
.

@Saumun - exactly, you're on fire! It was the fantastic
Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker
.
I never played Gambit's. Ameena's looks vaguely familiar, but that could be because I am mixing it up with something like Fire & Ice.
I just realised that all of my games have been Atari/Amiga or PC. Time to change that:
