Hail, fellow dungeoneers!

Post by meadwarrior »

Like you, I love the oldschool style of dungeoncrawl RPGs.
That's why I'd like to develop my own. Dungeon Strikes Back is my weapon of choice.

And that's the story of why I joined this forum.
The end ;)

Cool, welcome to the forum :). Feel free to reminisce about fun time playing DM/CSB and/or generally chat about gamey-stuff :D.

Hello! Nice to see someone else using DSB. It's a great engine, really flexible and lots of fun. I'm no expert, but have been tinkering with DSB for a while, so I'll try and help you out if you post questions on the DSB forum. I hope you enjoy your stay here. :)

I raise a reasonably-sized tankard of mead in welcome, meadwarrior!

We need more mead round these parts, and certainly more warriors.

I daresay you have fulfilled both of these needs in one :D

Yeah, spirits. It's not a made up thing or anything. Go to the booze shop and make sure you glance at the store title. Most of the time it will indicate that it provides spirits. Abracadabra. It is not only a mineral, lol, I can say most people do not look at the store sign or even pay attention to what might influence their behavior. I talked to my son last night, he passed away not long ago but we still had a chat, his spirit exists, thanks to the booze shop I can still reach him with my feelings. I raise a cup to everyone, may we enjoy life while we have it. Welcome meadwarrior ;) What dungeon are you going to tackle first? There are some pretty cool ones out there.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss...
May we indeed enjoy what we have when we have it.

I intend to make a little game myself (with what miniscule coding knowledge I have), I'm curious how this will work out myself ;)

Go for it meadwarrior. I like playing with stuff too. Just was learning OpenShot to animate some stuff clodius and I have been creating over the past several years. Always fun to fool around. What engine are you working with?

I intend to use DSB, it's fun to use, Sophia is cool and it has an editor, which is great.

Great, I didn't think there was a GUI for it, that sounds awesome.
