Chaos Strickes Back music

Post by Erik Bauer »

Hello there, I have a question for you all:
Has some of you ever played and recorded an instrumental cover (possibly unplugged) of Chaos Strikes Back intro music?
Or is any of you aware of someone that did it?

I'm asking because in this case, if it's style fits my ideas, I would like to ask permission to use it to create my Chaos Strikes Back walktrough's intro.
(It will be more "complex" than the Intro I made for Dungeon Master's walktrough)

Thank you in advance

I'm not aware of anyone who did that.

Kevin MacLeod releases huge amounts of royalty free music on his site Incompetech. You might find something there.

Perhaps a piece like this?
https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/4490-the-descent/
Or this?
https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/3 ... the-chasm/
Or even this?
https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/3762-five-armies/

Otherwise, why not just use the original music from the game? I highly doubt that the original copyright holders would bother making a claim on Youtube.

Thanx in advance Gambit37
It is not due to copyright reasons, but because it would have been cool to have it sound like it could have been played by a lone Bard.
Btw I'll have a look to the links you posted.

PS: do you compose or play music by yourself?
