DOSbox with Joystick

Hello,
i just want to try Dos version with joystick, i finally have some Joystick for PC.. but this option is not available in for some reason.

DM with a joystick? I'm not even sure how that would work. On the Atari it was played with a mouse...

It should because I remember someone telling me back then he power levelled by leaving the game on with a joystick on auto-fire through the night. ;)

I plugged a joystick /W autofire in the mouse port on my Amiga back in the day. Went out for a beer or something AAAND instant (something) master...

Snes version was played with joystick as mouse, it was playable..

If someone would be able to setup Dosbox to make joystick option available let me know..
