DM2 - issue with mouse clicking

Post by Time4Tea »

Hi, first post on this forum! :D

I am trying to play Dungeon Master 2 in dosbox on Linux. It seems to boot up fine, sound seems to work fine; however, when it gets to the main menu, the mouse cursor is working, but nothing responds to mouse clicks, so I am not able to start a new game. I have been using dosbox for years and haven't had a similar issue with any other games. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing it?

Thanks in advance! :)

DM2 runs fine for me in dosbox on Windows, so this must be a Linux specific issue.

@ChristopheF Thanks for your comment, although I tried running it in dosbox on a Mac and had the exact same issue with it not responding to mouse clicks. Perhaps one of the game files is corrupted?

I have no idea... You may try https://dosbox-x.com/ instead of dosbox to see if it makes any difference.

It doesnt matter, whether your using a mac or linux system while using DOSBOX.
What EXAT game files are you using?
Back in the day there was bad warez/crack which did exactly this.
Download and try each and every version you may find to suit your needs...

(Wish I had THAT option, back in the pre-internet days...)
