If he manages to keep that feeling through the whole game (and finish it in the first place) that should be freaking awesome indeed. (And lol about us freaking out about just a few steps through the hall behind the entrance )

Yeah - I would really like to see a more comprehensive gameplay demo if the developer makes it that far. Also, the lighting level in the dungeon was very low in the video - hopefully that's for if you either don't have a source of light or only have a very dim one!

Well the light went down from bright to barely visible, so I considered that part of the demo. After all, once you get past the Champions in the original you end up in pitch black when you run out of torches and haven't mastered light spells yet

Unfortunately there is no mention of a game remake, I suppose this was just to toy with the Unreal Engine.

Yep, although to be honest all these UE5 demos of old games might look nice, but they are so far removed from the original that a remake seems pointless and a new original game would make much more sense.

Young people often have fantastic plans and quick first results - until they meet reality and face how much work it is at all. The only here announced thing that I saw so far which was realized was the Legend of Grimrock. Rasmus' 3D-DM was a pretty nice trial. Too bad he decided to make other things.

Not just young people I don't think I've ever finished a single creative project that I've started. But I'm fine with that. The fun part is the creative exploration along the way -- finishing is rarely the point, for me anyway.
