Dungeon Entrance wallpapers

Post by Erik Bauer »

Hello!
I'm playing with Midjourney in recreating the "Entrance Screen" of some of the Amiga Dungeon Crawlers I love.

Can you recognize them?

I'd say black crypt for the first one.
Maybe Eye of the Beholder for the second ?

That is more tricky because the "Castle on the hill" is quite common, but in truth it should be "Crystal Dragon"

Have you tried making the DM/CSB entrance screens? That would be cool. I suppose there is a rather specific design on the DM one but still...

DM and CSB are the first I tried to make but they're hard to replicate.

Maybe I can retry now that I've made some extra experience with the ones I published.

Meanwhile here it is a fourth one

DM2, maybe? I didn't actually play super loads of this kind of game back in the day, so I haven't recognised any of them so far :D.

So far I'm not recognizing any of them either, other then the EOB one, which I played enough times on my Amiga 500 to to recognize the start of it.

@Eric Bauer, these are really cool designs (even though I know they're recreations, but I'm sure you're learning skills you could use for original work too from all this.

Here it is my DM entrance screen "remake"

No way I could manage to have Midjourney put the runic writing on the top or the two gems on the rigtht, but I think it is quite recognizable

Exactly! It is inspired by the "Legend of Skullkeep" menu screen

Exactly, I plan to use Midjourney for illustrating my RPG adventures and to create art for my small YT channel
These are really good exercises

Oh yes that DM one is very recognisable even though the generator obviously isn't gonna get the exact design :D.

I like the most Black Crypt, Sewers of Waterdeep and of course the last one ! That could be very well the entrance for a new Dungeon Master adventure !
Personally I find these generators really interesting to boost inspiration.

Yes, they are!
I'm a person with a very creative mind but poor drawing skills and Midjourney is really a boon to me

That's awesome! How do you plan on using Midjourney?

Also, what do you cover on your YT channel? I've also got a channel that's still small as we just started out, called ControllerHogZ. What we're doing is Let's Play videos.

Also, if you need help with the art, voice acting, coding or anything, let me know, I've got a community of people who can help you with any of that and more.

Here I am, sorry for the delayed answer
First of all, thanx for the support offer, I'll keep in mind if I need it.
For now my YT Channel is about gaming (Mostly Walking Sim, Adventures and Dungeon Crawlers, with a little bit emphasis on Horror genere)

About using Midj, I use it for creating fancy facecam frames, updating channel cover and the like
I'm experimenting in creating also video cover images (In fact all those dungeon entries are tests in that direction, if I ever manage to find time to bring EOB or Black Crypt to my channel).

Here is the channel cover I lately managed to create, for example
Image

Also, if you or your team need some IA made pictures don't hesitate to ask, I'm always glad to give Midjourney something to crunch, just I do it in my spare time, so do not expect Just in Time response ;)

Guess the game?

I know, I know... the runes on the gate aren't the same and it lacks both the button and the skulls on the right side, but my understanding of Midjourney yet have some limitantions...
