The FireStaff (v0.03)

Post by Gambit37 »

Lots of errors with the firestaff code in v0.03

In DM the spells cast by invoke are randomised between Fireball, Lightning Bolt, Anti material (Des Ew), Poison Cloud and Poison Bolt. I haven't seen either of the last two in RTC even after several minutes of testing Invoke.

In DM, Invoke reduces the character's mana by 1 point each time it's used - this doesn't happen in RTC.

Flying objects cast using Invoke, (when the character is on the right hand side) travel to the centre of the screen and do not 'hug' the right hand wall. It seems to be correct for characters on the LHS.

But they're not all the same, are they? As I (seem to) remember them:

vexirk - fireball, lightning bolt, zo, (poison bolt?)
beholder - lightning bolt, zo
fader - fireball, poison cloud, (poison bolt?), (poison cloud?), zo
Chaos and Order - fireball
Firestaff - fireball, des ew, poison bolt, poison cloud, (lightning bolt?)

EH? I don't understand what you mean. I was simply pointing out that in DM the firestaff has several attacks, 2 of which don't appear to be there in RTC (poison cloud and poison bolt). You seem to be talking about something else. Have I missed your point?
