Faders can be hit when not attacking
Should be immune to attack unless they're fully materialised.
Re: Faders can be hit when not attacking
In DM, it was only des ew spells they were immune to, vorpal blades could injure them in any state
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

Re: Faders can be hit when not attacking
Looking through the source code I remembered that I had actually implemented this (although wrongly). At the moment they can be damaged by vorpal attack and des-ew when materialised, but when de-materialised the des-ew doesn't pass through them but does explode on their square (but causes no damage).
I think DM let the spell pass right through them (to give you a clue that it wasn't having any effect). Can someone confirm this pretty please?

I just took a look at this and we're all wrong:
1) des ew and vorpal do damage regardless of the state the materialiser is in!
2) All other spells and objects travel straight through, regardless of whether it's materialised or not.
3) It can only attack when fully materialised.

Hmm, how did you test? I trapped a four group, away from a wall, and fired a low power des ew at them and sidestepped so they wouldn't solidify...it did hit their square, and inflicted no damage...i can check more thouroughly later, but at first glance i'd support george in his assessment (hits the square, does no damage)

My apologies... I was mixing two things together. You're right - the spell always explodes on the square, but only does damage if the creature is solid. Vorpal blades do damage regardless of material state.
