Following the idea of making a Dungeon Master clone in a Quake environnement: I developped a dungeon builder kit. It is available at http://mchambin.free.fr With this software you can make your own dungeon master 3D realm. It is provided with a basic set of tiles you can built from, with: walls, corridors, doors, monsters. You can make your own tiles, expanding with no limit the tile set, or replacing with yours. More features, will be added to the engine of the builder. The basics is available for you to evaluate now. Enjoy.
