Because ... You can't. I have an A500 and an A1200. I can sometimes get Dungeon Master to work for a little while on the A1200, but then it locks up. DM and Chaos Strikes Back were designed for the A500, and they were never "ported" to the later generations of Amiga. You will find this problem with a lot of A500 games when you try to run them on the A1200. You have an A600?! That's basically a sawed-off A1200. The one Amiga I never even thought about owning.
Heck, play Alien Breed 3D on your A1200. It's pretty scary in places. Also Black Crypt is a good dungeon romp. That's a beautiful game (and very difficult in places).
