Level Two Pit

Dumb as it seems, I can't seem to cross the pit that leads to the Emerald Key hallway. The Hints state that there is a pressure plate that closes it-but it doesn't appear on the maps. There is a short hall on the other side of the pit with four buttons and a force field. I have 'danced' the rock piles all around this area to see if that helps-to no avail. Thanks

02(08,28) Pressure Pad.
You cannot get here. Fortunately there is a teleporter at 03(06,11) and you can arrange for a rock to be at the same location. If you activate the teleporter at 03(06,11) it will send the rock to 02(08,28) and the pit at 02(16,20) will close.
02(16,20) Pit
SUMMARY ---
a) Step on Pressure Pad at 03(31,23)
b) Present item to Eye Switch at 03(21,24)
To close this pit you need to actuate the pressure pad at 02(08,28). Unfortunately, you can't get there.
03(06,10) Rock and Teleporter.
Activate this teleporter by stepping on the pressure pad at 03(31,23). You will cause a rock to be sent to 03(06,11). This is one step in the rather lengthy process of closing the pit at 02(16,20).
03(06,11) Teleporter and target of Teleporter.
The pressure pad at 03(31,23) de-activates this teleporter.
You activate this teleporter by presenting any item to the Eye Switch at 03(21,25). Getting access to the Eye Switch requires you to open the door at 03(21,24). Not a simple task. Initially, there is nothing here to be teleported. But at 03(06,10) there is a rock and a Teleporter that can send the rock here. So you first activate the Teleporter at 03(06,10) and then activate this Teleporter to send the rock to 02(08,28).
03(21,24) Door
Opening this door requires a Falchion to be placed on the pressure pad just behind the door. The most clever way to do this is to teleport a skeleton to 03(21,25) after arranging things in such a way that the skeleton will activate a fireball that will kill him and cause the Falchion he is carrying to drop to the Pressure Pad and open the door. But this does require that you first open the False Wall at 03(29,29). Then when the Skeleton steps on the Pressure Pad at 03(21,25) two missiles will be launched from 03(29,27), pass through the false wall at 03(29,28), and get teleported to 03(21,25) by the teleporter at 03(29,30).
If you have failed to open the false wall at 03(29,29) then the skeleton will be quite alive and must be convinced to drop his weapon. You can accomplish this through the closed door with Des Ven spells.
Getting the Skeleton to 03(29,25) is also a little bit of a problem. It is much easier if the false wall at 03(20,23) is closed. Then you can cause a Skeleton to back away from you with War Cries, corner him in 03(21,23), and then quickly step to your left and press the button on the wall at 03(22,22). That will activate a teleporter at 03(21,23) and transport the skeleton to 03(21,24).
Note that the Falchion you worked so hard to place on the Pressure Pad at 03(21,25) will get teleported back to 03(21,22) every time you step on the Pressure Pad at 03(07,23), causing all your work to be undone.
03(21,25) Two Pressure Pads, Eye Switch, Turquoise Keyhole. Teleporter, and the destination of two Teleporters.
If you have already caused a rock to be at 03(06,11) then presenting any item to the Eye Switch will cause the teleporter at 03(06,11) to transport that rock to 02(08,28) which will activate the pressure pad and close the Pit at 02(16,20). Permanently, thank goodness.
The first Pressure pad opens the door at 03(21,24) but can only be activated by a Falchion.
The second Pressure Pad is operated only by a monster. It causes a missile to be launched at the south side of 03(29,27). If you arrange things properly, the missile will kill any skeleton who dares to step on the Pressure Pad. See 03(21,24).
The Turquoise Keyhole and Turquoise Key open the door at 03(22,25).
The teleporter here will cause any objects to be transported to 03(21,22). This will cause the door at 03(21,24) to close. This teleporter is activated by the pressure pad at 03(07,23) which means you must re-open the door every time you approach the Diabolical Demon Director area from level 3.
The teleporter at 03(21,23) will teleport a monster to this location. Very handy for getting a Skeleton and his Falchion here.
The teleporter at 03(29,30) will teleport a missile to this location. The neat way to kill the Skeleton after you get it here.
03(29,29) False Wall
This wall is opened by the Pressure Pad at 03(09,24) and closed by the Pressure Pad at 03(31,23).
