Sound effect problem

Hello!

I recently got DM II for PC, and I have tinkered quite a lot to get it to work. The game seems to work allright now, booting from the boot disk that is downloadable from this homepage.
To get the introduction to work (with sound too!), I have to run the following .bat file as well:
SET winbootdir=C:\WINDOWS
LH asp4dos.com
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D3 T4

However, I get no sound effects in the game! Are there any? If so, does anyone has a clue what's wrong?
My hardware configuration is:
Dell Dimension XPS D233 MT
Windows 95
Montego A3D 64 Voice PCI sound card

The soundcard manual claims that the card should be configured for Sound Blaster Pro (or Sound Blaster) when running DOS Games in WIN95.
