sound blaster 16

Post by Mist-Walker »

On my Pentium 200, running Win95, using a SB16, with the dm2update.exe patch, the sounds dont' work! Music works fine. The game freezes right after the FTL logo screen. Of course, I switch to DOS to play the game... it doesn't work under 95. I tried altering my sound card's settings including IRQ and DMA..no use... Help??

Hmm...That is Strange, I have played it under dos, without using a boot disk (and I used Win95). But then I had a Pentium 75 mhz, today I have a 1,4 Gigahertz and then I have the same problem (but my present soundcard is something worthless eminated from the pits of...something). But is sounds strange that you should have that problem. Have you tried the Boot disk that you can find under "General" and "download" on the menu? I used that disk on my 233mhz Machine, and if you do have a SB16 it should work perfectly...I hope...

Good Luck!
